Deirdré Straughan

Deirdré Straughan http://www.beginningwithi.com/ has been communicating online since 1982. She began videoblogging in 2004, inspired by her then-employer to try to understand just how difficult it might be for ordinary people to publish video online (at the time: very difficult). This got her interested in videoblogging as the logical next evolution of the web, empowering anybody to publish video. She is currently a Community-Monger and Videoblogger http://blogs.sun.com/deirdre/ at Sun Microsystems.
