Free software is a global movement. Where do you fit into this movement? Announcing LibrePlanet, a global resource for the free software community. On LibrePlanet, activist groups, users and developers can come together and share information, resources and advice for the free software community. LibrePlanet is a project of the Free Software Foundation, is supported by an annual conference in Boston, MA. Matt Lee will take us through the ideas behind LibrePlanet, some of the goals of the project and will be signing up groups throughout FISL. |

Matt Lee Matt Lee is the campaigns manager at the Free Software Foundation. His work includes Defective by Design -- a campaign against Digital Restrictions Management, the Play Ogg campaign, as well as writing and producing the movie, Happy Birthday to GNU, starring Stephen Fry. Matt was one of the organizers of the LibrePlanet 2009 conference in Boston, MA and produces most of the graphics and illustrations for FSF materials, as well as editing the FSF biannual bulletin. He is also the founder of Libre.fm, a free software service for discovering new music. |
