General considerations:

Important dates:

  • April 26 - Deadline for submission of proposals.
  • May 25 - End of selection and publication of results.
  • May 31 - Deadline for confirmation of speakers.
  • June 24 to 27, 2009: FISL 10.

The presentations at FISL 10 will be divided into tracks and each proposal submissions should indicate the track it fits into. Although we have tried to be as complete as possible, the track descriptions may not be exhaustive. If you can't identify which track your proposal best belongs to on the basis of the descriptions given, please get in touch with us (programafisl10 AT softwarelivre DOT org).

Please note that proposals submitted to the wrong track run a substantial risk of not being accepted.

When you send a presentation proposal, consider that the time available for your presentation will be 50 minutes (including questions), with the typical resources for this kind of situation: a GNU/Linux microcomputer and
sound and projection equipment (with the option to connect a laptop belonging to the speaker, as long as it is running a free software operating system).

Small changes to this configuration will be accepted if they are not disruptive to the event planning and organization. So if your proposal concept doesn't fit as a presentation, please don't submit it as one. Instead, get in touch with the event organizers so that we can look into the feasibility of your idea.

We would like to note that the event will not be able to make any financial support available to the speakers whose proposals are accepted. However, all speakers will be exempt from paying the conference registration fee.

If you have any questions, please contact the Program Committee by e-mail at programafisl10 AT softwarelivre DOT org.
