Every year, the International Free Software Forum grants space freely so groups of users from different languages, technologies, operational systems and other technological means related to Free Software may have a meeting point, to show their work and exchange experience with other groups, people and institutions. We aim to promote a greater interaction between all those connected to free software.

What is a User Group?
User Groups are fundamental to the exchange of experience and sharing of information through cooperative work developed by its members. Because of this, they have a very important role in the dissemination of knowledge.
How to take part in fisl9.0?
Inscriptions must be sent to the email gruposusuarios2008 AT softwarelivre DOT org, and must contain the following information:
- User Group name.
- Information about the componentes of the Usergroup (up to 4 people):
name
e-mail
telephone
- Description and objectives of the Usergroup.
- Usergroup brand attached.
- City and Country of origin.
- URL of the Usergroup's page.
Evaluation criteria:
The group must have 4 (four) representatives in the event, have disponibility e responsability for the space granted during the 3 days of FISL, contribute to the community and have a website and discussion list with information of the group for divulgation purpouses.
